Allison Ong Shreffler

Architect + Designer

Allison Ong Shreffler is a seasoned architect and visionary leader with a rich and diverse professional journey. She began her academic pursuits at Pennsylvania State University, where she earned Baccalaureate Degrees in Science and Architecture, laying the foundation for her remarkable career.

Early in her career, Allison's talent and passion for design led her to assume the role of design lead on a wide range of projects, spanning residential, commercial, religious, and transportation sectors. Her exceptional skills and dedication did not go unnoticed, and she earned her Professional license, propelling her into the position of Project Manager and Architect for multiple projects.

In 1995, Allison embarked on her entrepreneurial journey by founding AOS Architect, a firm that offered comprehensive architecture, interior design, and construction administration services to a diverse clientele, both residential and commercial. Simultaneously, she co-founded a Design-Build company, leaving an indelible mark on the restaurant and hospitality industry by providing each establishment with a distinctive architectural brand.

Allison's commitment to her community is evident through her active participation in various organizations. She was appointed to the planning board by the Mayor of River Edge, NJ, where her valuable insights on planning, zoning, and aesthetics were highly sought after.

Her expertise as a Professional Architect and Interior Designer encompasses every facet of architecture, design, and construction. She excels in creating designs that harmoniously blend aesthetics, functionality, cost-efficiency, constructability, and sustainability, consistently exceeding her clients' expectations.

After relocating to Central PA in 2008, Allison served as the Principal Architect in Charge at an Architecture/Civil/Survey Engineering firm before re-establishing her architectural and interior design practice. Here, she continues to serve her clients in both NJ and PA, while also dedicating her time to mentor young professionals, contributing as an editor for Central Keystone Living Magazine, and actively participating in associations like the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg, American Institute of Architects, American Society of Interior Designers, and National Kitchen and Bath Associations.

In 2021, Allison Ong Shreffler, Architecture & Design LLC proudly received certification as a Small Business, Women Owned, and Diversity Owned Business, further reflecting her commitment to excellence and inclusivity.

Most recently, Allison Ong Shreffler, Architecture & Design LLC was recognized as an Honoree for the Inaugural Leadership in Construction Award by the editors of Central Penn Business Journal, was the recipient of Best Interior Designer Award by the Home Builder’s Association, and voted Simply the Best Architect by Harrisburg Magazine, all testaments to her firm’s outstanding contributions to the field.

 

 

 

Matthew Shreffler

Architectural intern + Architectural designer

Matthew Shreffler is a passionate Architectural Intern with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from The Pennsylvania State University. His journey into the world of design and construction began in his early years, as he cultivated his artistic eye for detail through Lego building and creative artwork.

Matthew's dedication to the field was evident even before college, as he started interning with the firm right after graduating from Central Dauphin High School. His commitment to staying at the cutting edge of technology sets him apart, with expertise in laser printing, 3D modeling, and visualization. These skills play a pivotal role in providing clients with immersive 3D images and videos, ensuring the flawless execution of every project.

Outside of his professional life, Matthew is a true renaissance spirit. His interests span a wide spectrum, from his love for art, architecture, music, and sports to his culinary adventures and a deep-seated passion for travel. He's also diligently working towards meeting all the requirements for acquiring his architecture licensure, a testament to his unwavering commitment to the field and his clients. Matthew Shreffler is not just an architect; he's a creative force with a relentless pursuit of excellence.
